Tinnaway

Tinnaway is claimed to be useful for good hearing and vision. It is available in tablet form and is taken twice daily. The ingredients of Tinnaway include Ginkgo biloba extract, magnesium, zinc, folate, vitamin C, and selenium.

Claims:
Useful for good hearing and vision.

Downsides:
Potential side effects, allergic reactions, and drug interactions from Ginkgo biloba. Magnesium and zinc may cause minor but unpleasant side effects. High doses or long-term use of selenium can lead to serious medical problems or death.
Cost.

Research:
Although no papers have been published specifically on Tinnaway as a supplement, research exists on the effects of its component parts.

Research Findings:
Limited evidence suggests that Ginkgo biloba is not effective for tinnitus as a primary complaint and does not reduce its intensity or improve quality of life.

Except for magnesium, for which there is limited evidence of a positive effect on tinnitus, there is no evidence supporting the use of zinc, folate, or selenium for improving symptoms in adults with tinnitus. Additionally, selenium can be harmful.
